About the Honors College
The Honors Ambassadors Host-a-Day program allows prospective students to experience a day in the life of a current Honors College student. The Host-a-Day program is open to all prospective students during the fall semester and open only to admitted students invited into the Honors College during the spring semester.
The Virtual Hangout form for Fall 2020 can be found here.
Please note: The Host-A-Day program is for students only. In addition, this program is not a campus tour or an overnight stay program.
This fall, all events and meetings will be virtual. Honors College staff members are available to meet with prospective students and families via individual zoom appointments or open office hours. Students can contact firstname.lastname@example.org to set up their individual appointment or attend an open office hour where current Honors students will be available to answer general Honors-related questions.
Below are our Drop-in Hours on Zoom for September and October (all hours Eastern Standard Time):
- Mondays from 4-5pm (starting Sept. 14th): https://go.umd.edu/HonorsDropIn
- Thursdays from 3-4pm (starting Sept. 10th): https://go.umd.edu/HonorsDropIn
Students may also want to tour campus. Students can learn more about the tour options and schedule their tour.
If you have any questions, please contact our admissions team at email@example.com.
Discover Life as a Fearless Terp
Open houses are a great opportunity for prospective Honors College students to explore what it is like to be a Terp! Prospective students and their families are invited to campus to speak with faculty members, meet current students, take a campus tour, and learn more about the admissions process.
Admitted students and their families are invited to attend an Admitted Student Open House. Admitted Student Open House events will take place in March and April, and registration is required.
Please check with the Office of Undergraduate Admissions periodically for updates on campus tour availability and other opportunities to explore what it’s like to be a Terp!
