About the Honors College

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the University of Maryland is closed for Spring Break (March 14th - March 30th). After that, the university has virtual classes until at least April 10th. In light of this, we are no longer conducting in-person Host-A-Days for the rest of the Spring 2020 semester, but rather offering admitted Honors students the chance to engage with current Honors Students through an online platform (FaceTime, Skype, Google Hangouts, etc.). Please complete this form if you're interested in being paired with an Honors Ambassador for a 20-30 minute video call. Once you are paired, the two of you should find a compatible time to connect before April 24th.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact honorsambassadors1@umd.edu

Host-a-Day Program

Honors Ambassadors with Testudo

The Honors Ambassadors Host-a-Day program allows prospective students to experience a day in the life of a current Honors College student. The Host-a-Day program is open to all prospective students during the fall semester and open only to admitted students invited into the Honors College during the spring semester.

The form for Spring 2020 is currently suspended, effective immediately.

Please note: The Host-A-Day program is for students only. Parents are encouraged to find alternative activities during their student’s visit. In addition, this program is not a campus tour or an overnight stay program. Students and families interested in taking a tour of the University of Maryland should contact the Office of Undergraduate Admissions at (301) 314-8377 or explore other options to visit Maryland.
