Host-a-Day Program

Three Honors Ambassadors

The Honors Ambassadors Host-a-Day programs allows prospective students to experience a day in the life of a current Honors College student. Host-a-Day allows prospective students to explore the everyday life of an Honors College student, from classes to campus activities. The Host-a-Day program is open to all prospective students during the fall semester and open only to admitted students invited into the Honors College during the spring semester.

Fall 2018 visitation dates:

October 1-November 16 (weekdays only) 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.

Fall 2018 semester requests will be accepted from September 17- November 2. Requests to be hosted must be submitted at least two weeks in advance. The Honors College will make every effort to accommodate requests, but cannot guarantee availability. Requests are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Students should allow at least one week from the request submission date to receive information regarding the scheduled visit.

Please note: The Host-A-Day program is for students only. Parents are encouraged to find alternative activities during their student’s visit. In addition, this program is not a campus tour or an overnight stay program. Students and families interested in taking a tour of the University of Maryland should contact the Office of Undergraduate Admissions at (301) 314-8377 or explore Visit Maryland options.
