Spend a Day With an Honors Student

Three Honors Ambassadors

Honors Ambassadors is a student group of current honors students who represent the Honors College at recruitment events. Honors Ambassadors are available to host prospective students on select days during the year. New students can explore the everyday life of an honors student, from classes to campus activities. The Honors College makes every effort to match students with current Honors students who share similar academic interests depending on availability.

For interested high-school seniors invited to the Honors College, spring 2018 registration begins February 7. Please contact honorsambassadors1@gmail.com for additional information. The Host-A-Day program will be available to high school juniors and sophomores in fall 2018.

Spring 2018 visitation dates:

February 21 - April 27 (weekdays only, excluding: 3/19-3/23) 8:30am - 3:00pm.

Spring 2018 semester requests will be accepted from February 7- April 13. Requests to be hosted must be submitted at least two weeks in advance. The Honors College will make every effort to accommodate requests, but cannot guarantee availability. Requests are filled on a first come, first served basis. Students should allow at least one week from the request submission date to receive information regarding the scheduled visit.

Please note: The Host-A-Day program is for students only. Parents are encouraged to find alternative activities during their student’s visit. In addition, this program is not a campus tour or overnight program. Students and families interested in taking a tour of the University of Maryland should contact the Office of Undergraduate Admissions at (301) 314-8385 or explore Visit Maryland options.
