VISIT THE UNIVERSITY OF MARYLAND AND HONORS

Throughout the year the University of Maryland hosts information sessions and guided tours. At fall Visit Maryland Days, the February Open House for Juniors, the Spring Open Houses, and on Maryland Day (the last Saturday in April every year), the Honors Program hosts special information sessions.

These lively Honors information sessions include a presentation by the Honors Director and Staff, followed by a question-answer session featuring a panel of current Honors students.

Upcoming dates for Honors Information Sessions are available on the Undergraduate Admissions web site. On each Visit Maryland Day in the fall and each Spring Open House in March and April, the University Honors Program hosts 50-minute information sessions in the Stamp Student Union (check the Undergraduate Admissions website for updates regarding specific times and room locations).

Dr. Barbara Thorne, Professor and Director of Honors, presents an overview of University Honors (academics, extra-curricular opportunities, admissions), and a panel of current Honors students will be available to answer audience questions.

Please join us for one of these events!

"The Honors program has such a community spirit, bringing all different kinds of students together. Be it for a guest lecture or to share some ice cream, you always have friends to talk to in Honors." - Kristen Essig '07
