GIVING TO HONORS

Thank you for considering a donation to the University Honors program General Fund or Scholarship Fund. If you would be interested in contributing to the program by hosting an intern please visit Host an Honors Intern

We attempt to stretch each dollar as far as possible, enriching programming and enabling deserving students to continue their education with reduced financial burden.

The Honors General Fund is used to support activities and events central to academic and cultural enhancement for our lively Honors students, including lecture series, art exhibits, course field trips, theater tickets, Honors Abroad courses, research opportunities, the Honors Film Festival, and special adventures such as the faculty guided whitewater raft trip.

The Honors Scholarship Fund provides scholarships to Honors students with strong academic records who would otherwise have to slip even further into debt or interrupt their education due to financial constraints. Scholarship support comes at a pivotal time in our students' lives: they are an exceptionally talented and capable group, poised on the crest of promising and exciting futures that will be all the richer if we invest in them now.

To donate online, please visit www.greatexpectations.umd.edu. To designate your gift for Honors, please scroll down the "SELECT FUND" menu on that site and highlight "University Honors Program."

If you prefer to donate by mail, please send a check, made out to "University of Maryland College Park Foundation" and marked, in the memo section, "University Honors Program." If you have a preference whether your gift goes to the Honors General Fund or Scholarship Fund, please state that choice. Checks may be mailed to:

Thank You!

"The Honors program has such a community spirit, bringing all different kinds of students together. Be it for a guest lecture or to share some ice cream, you always have friends to talk to in Honors." - Kristen Essig '07
