Honors College Student Programming Council

Hello Honors Terps!

My name is Anna Pham, and I am the President of the Honors College Student Programming Council. Our mission is to organize events to unite the entire Honors Community, thus fostering a sense of camaraderie and cohesiveness among the six living and learning programs. Our events bring together all the Honors students and provide them a space to get to know each other beyond their respective programs. So SPC, organized by students and focused on students, serves as the "glue" for bonding amongst Honors College students.

After SPC was created in Fall 2010, the Executive Board and General Body jumped right into things with a Holiday Finals Study Break. After a long yet successful semester of hard work, dedication, and development as a student-run organization (a process that we are still learning about), we have established the framework for our group, upon which we can build in the future. So far, we have developed a lot of events we are hoping to turn in to traditions, such as the highly successful Pi Day, Honors Olympics, and Spring Grill and Chill, and are eager to develop more wonderful, engaging opportunities and memories. I could not be more ecstatic with what we have already accomplished and am even more excited about what’s to come.

For announcements regarding future events, be on the lookout on the Honors Listserv. If you would like additional information about our meetings, how to get involved, possible collaborations, or anything else SPC-related, please email us at honorsSPC@gmail.com. I look forward to building the Honors College experience with you!

SPC. DOIN' BIG THINGS!

Cheers,

Anna Pham
