Take Your Honors Professor to Lunch

Want to get to know your Honors Seminar professor without going to office hours? Invite him or her to lunch on campus and Honors will pick up the tab for your professor's meal!

First and second year University Honors students, individually or in small groups, can invite their current Honors Seminar professor to lunch on campus. The Honors Program will pay for your professor's lunch (up to $15) by providing a pre-paid "Dining on Campus" card. You decide where and when to dine.

Contact the University Honors Office (honors@umd.edu, 301-405-6771) at least 5 days prior to your lunch to reserve a "Dining On Campus" card. You can pick-up and return the card on the day of your lunch at the Honors Program Office in Anne Arundel Hall, 8:30am-4:00pm M-F.

Plan a lunch with your Honors seminar professor now! We cannot guarantee that the budget for this program will last until the end of the term!

For more information, contact honors@umd.edu or 301-405-6771.

Lunch with President Mote

While on the topic of lunch, did you know that President Mote loves to have lunch with students? If you want to have lunch with the President, you can email his assistant, Ms. Teresa Crawford, at tcrawfo1@umd.edu.

"The Honors program has such a community spirit, bringing all different kinds of students together. Be it for a guest lecture or to share some ice cream, you always have friends to talk to in Honors." - Kristen Essig '07
